Roller Bogie® Guide

Enables slickline and e-line operations to be performed more quickly and easily

Applications

  • Slickline
  • E-line

Features and Benefits

  • Reaches extended depths and higher deviations without need for costly services such as coiled tubing or wireline tractors
  • Lower pickup weight translates reduce wire loading
  • Create more effective and visible jarring at great depth or higher deviation due to the efficient transfer of mass
  • Maintains completion integrity by protecting coated and high-chrome tubulars
  • Improves data quality by eliminating stick-slip and achieving more constant logging speeds
  • Deployed at bottom of toolstring to increase friction reduction to allow full toolstring to be lifted

Tool Description

The Weatherford Roller Bogie guide is installed on the bottom end of the toolstring and can be deployed in most wellbore conditions up to 87° deviation.

With independent swiveling, the self-orienting roller body ensures the rollers are oriented at all times to the low side of the tubing. The toolstring is lifted onto large, highly efficient rollers, eliminating contact friction and enabling easier and deeper wellbore access. Running weight remains positive and steady while the pick-up weight is greatly reduced and the risk of wire breakage is lowered.

Roller Bogie guides are available in a wide range of sizes to pass through all wellbore restrictions and can be ordered with a choice of connection types to suit individual tool string requirements.
